While browsing Wikipedia, I ended up stumbling across an old-fashioned DID scene!
In this 1940's serial, Captain America faces a dangerous hypnotic chemical known as the "Purple Death". A secretary named Gail Richards does some good old-fashioned snooping and ends up bound to a chair and OTM gagged with a cloth!
The Wikipedia page shows the cover, depicting the scene with the woman bound and gagged, and if you scroll down to the "Cast" part of the contents, the entire serial is there to watch, including the DID scene!
