Re: Disney's "Star Wars" toon upcoming..
perhaps dave filoni and Lucas arts will break the weisman curse here. considering the clone wars lasted over a hundred episodes, more so cause i am counting the bonus ones even if they are not in an actual season, and it was in an event that lasted two or four years in universe, and now they have a hell of a lot more elbow room with a twenty years timespan. by all means the clone wars defied all expectations of it in so many ways, including how long it lasted. hopefully disney will not meddle in it as they did with the marvel animated series. the evidence of how popular a star wars animated series can be is evidence with the hundred and so episodes produced in the first true animated series. and if they don't, we make it the last mother fuckign straw. or if we are lucky, help fund its continuation. i hear there is soem kick starter esque thing to revive young justice for one more season. i have a healthy bit of skepticism, but if it turns out to not only be legit, but also brigns us young justice again, we might be able to keep the new series afloat should the disney staff be idiotic again.
if young justice succeeds, then someone better start one for symbionic titans. i will not tolerate a world where one of the most unique, facinating, and shockingly mature stories was canceled for not having toy potential. got five different mother fuckign robots, a legion of monsters, and no toy potential..........
oddly enough as more time passes the more content i get with the finale of the clones wars. we entered this story as ahsoka becoming a padawan. and strangely enough, we sadly exit it with the young togruta as well, as she abandons the jedi and heads out into the world, ironically and likely ensuring her survival. the clone wars is over, as now the events of the third movie, and the death of the republic, have been set, and the motives of anakin descent into madness clearer than before. but now a new story unfolds. the clone wars are over, but the rebellion begins. full of mysteries and unknowns. what will happen? and whose story shall we now follow to the climax?
