Estimation: How many unkown DID scenes are left?

Well I'm not really sure if this fits better in the general discussion, but on the other hand it's absolutely DID related so I think it's more suitable in this section. If any Mod or Admin wants to move this, im totally ok with that.

Anyway. Around 8 years ago I was browsing around the internet, searching for general stuff. I recently watched another reboot of the old ninja turtles cartoon on TV. I don't remember which episode it was but of course it has a DID scene with April in it. Somehow I had the idea to search for pictures of April and I instantly found screencaps of her beeing tied up and gagged. I think I landed on the old grimbor DID site on geocities or something. A whole new world opened for me and since this day I have seen a lot of different bondage scenes in cartoons and anime on yahoo groups, blogs, youtube and last but not least forums just like this one. What a shame that a lot of sites are down or unused nowadays and therefore I'm glad that this place still exists (again).
In all these years there was so much stuff to encounter, it's almost overwhelming and I could not list everything I have seen out if my mind. At this point I have to thank all the people who ever posted new stuff on their sites, youtube accounts and so on. Great work!!!

After this quite long introduction there is one big question in my mind now. How much is left? Since the old days of the very first sites with screencaps up to this day there is a ton of stuff to enjoy, but if we compare searching for DID with the old explorers who exploited the whole world step by step. Where are we now? Are nearly all landmasses accessed? Are we already forced to dive into deep water to gain new stuff? I kinda feel like that and if this would be true the glorious days seem to be over. What a shame that would be. Or DID we just touched the surface? With all known data this can't be true, so at most we can find ourselfs in the middle. But I really have no idea, so I think I share this question with you to discuss.
And if there is unkown material, how realistic is it that it will ever find the way on the internet. One example would be my personal holy grail. The "Heros on hot wheels" cartoon. All I ever found were 13 episodes from an old VHS tape. Alle the other seem to be lost forever and so I will probably never find out. I bet everybody has a "personal show" with the same problem. Additionally I wonder how much stuff is totally unkown but maby available somewhere. So we just have to know where to look at. I wonder how many series never been checked up probably hiding awesome scenes to fill up our lists.

So even with some untouched material in our minds, is our universe still expanding or is it running slower and slower each day forcing us to wait for brand new material out of the production companies?

I really hope to have a well going discussion out of this question. It circles around in my head for quite some time now.

As long as there are new things being made, the supply is literally infinite. I can't believe this is even an issue.

This is the second time someone has posted something like this on these forums. It makes me seriously question the priorities some people have. If all your DiD "runs out" then who cares? Make more. You're lucky enough as is, that your particular niche fetish is so widespread. To complain about how little there is, is simply decadence.

Besides for a character who never gets a DID scene, you can get an artist to create it for you, therefore many more will appear.

Of course I have plenty of other things to care about. I just wanted to know what ya'll think about the question. If someone says: "nearly everything is explored." Fine, life goes on. Maybe my post sounds more worried than I actually am. I don't whine about something. Don't worry. (I guess I'm a victom of my english again lol)
I'm not really into fanart by the way. Some people do really great work, but in general I'm looking for original scenes, even though it's just drawn by someone, too. Weird thing I know.

I can speak for the sleepy fetish, in that we have definitely NOT explored everything in comics and manga. Sleepycomics.com has proven that there's virtually unlimited mainstream content to explore. You will never find it all.

Well I didn't think scarface was trying to sound greedy or ungrateful or anything, so I wasn't offended by this, but that being said, it's basically an impossible question to answer. As others have said, the amount of DiD scenes still left out there is basically unquantifiable, especially if you're just talking about something as broad as 'DiD' in general. It's really impossible to put a number on these things because so many shows both old and new, cartoon, anime, hentai, etc. get discovered all the time and added into the pot of DiD possibilities. I'm continually blown away by how many new scenes get found just in older shows that I'd never heard of before, and when you add new stuff coming into the mix, well, it ensures an almost endless supply of DiD scenes. As long as human beings continue to create shows with the necessary themes for DiD scenes to occur (which could be almost anything nowadays, at least with anime anyway), new DiD scenes will never stop coming down the pipeline sooner or later. DiD is a theme loved by at least a significant minority of people all over this world (otherwise there wouldn't be so many scenes already!), so don't expect it to vanish from animation or any other entertainment medium anytime soon.

Having said all that, I think we could pretty safely say that not all DiD scenes are created in equal amounts, depending on what specific type of scene you're talking about. I think the facts bare this out, based on the vast quantity of DiD scenes that are already known. So it is possible to give some indication, proportionally speaking, of what quantity the various types will continue to be found. The way I see it breaking down in animation is like this:

Tie-up scenes - Tons already exist and tons more will undoubtedly continue to be produced.
Bound and gagged scenes - Much rarer than just tie-ups, but there's still a lot out there compared to other fetishes.
Hand-gag scenes - Shitloads, a lot of which probably haven't even been found yet. Probably more than actual gags in the end.
Chloro scenes - Much rarer than gags or hand-gags.
Any other fetish (blindfolds, gassings, chainings, whatever) - Really rare compared to the rest.

It really all depends on what your particular fetish is and what medium you're talking about.

hmm... my answer would be, that right now, there is a lesser number of unknown DID scenes "out there" than it used to be and for this we deserve credit
