Yeah putting her directly into a life of adventuring and fighting much more experienced ninja's and criminals certainly won't put her in any opportunities for DiD. :P

Well it's a question of the point of view. In my mind she represents the new kind of female protagonist we all know from the past years. Always too smart and to strong to get in trouble. Don't get me wrong I don't want to see women just as victims. But it's just boring to the a hero who wins all the time without any trouble and many females in cartoons represent those characters. On the other hand I wanna see them bound and gagged of course. Anyway maybe she still has her scenes. We will see. Luckily the show is awesome on its own.

I don't think that's entirely accurate. There are very few female protags I can think of who never ended up defeated or in some sort of peril. Even the girls in things like Young Justice still get captured and even bound and gagged on occasion.

Indeed. Korra was the personification of "strong female protagonist" and she got defeated and tied up all the time. I just don't think you should assume one way or another because there's no real factor dangling over any show or episode or character saying weather or not they should be placed in a scene of interest for us. ;)
