LOL Beat me to it! I literally JUST saw her tape gag a second ago. It's an hour long premeire so may be more. Kidnapped in her first scene. Classic April.

She was not. And sadly Ep 02 just has her in a futuristic prison cell. LAME.

I think this bodes well for the rest of the series. Also the show as whole was a fun update on the original '88 toon.

Nice! Great to see that they *maybe* are taking April back to her roots in starting her out with a full treatment scene right away! Although, let's hope they aren't just doing it as a "let's get this DiD thing with her out of the way early on" so they can take her in a different direction after that. I remember catching the live premier of Daphne's gag scene from the 4th episode of WNSD years ago, and I was psyched to see her finally get another gag after all those years. But we all know what happened with that series after that. No more gags and hardly even any quality DiD for her at all for the rest of the series. I'm very afraid this could turn into a similar situation with April where the DiD theme is not going to last long-term with her. 'Tis certainly a good start though!

Thanks for the alert. I was kinda sceptical with the new TMNT. I am still worried that we will get a smart young April who is just to clever for the villains to geht caught. Just like the typical female protagonist nowadays. The first Episode gives us hope that my expectations are wrong. Furthermore I think that the young cgi April is lightyears away from the cuteness of the old April we all love so much. Still I'm looking forward to see her bound and gagged for a longer period of time.

I really liked the premiere. It had that sort of old TMNT feel to it with the jokes and the right amount of action. I'm interested to see how the series continues...though aside from the DID aspect is there anything Rob Paulsen doesn't eventually lend his voice to?

I really like the new series. I always prefered the humoristic turtles over the dark and serios series. But from a DID fan perspective I'm a little disapointed from what the show has to offer until now. In the last episode April investigated a warehouse full of krang soldiers and guess what. Even though she makes a silly noise (just like the old April) shen can escape the place without getting captured. If this represents the new even smarter April we will not get many scenes. Furthermore she hasn't played a big roll in the first episodes. I hope this will change in the following ones. Let's cross our fingers for more stuff, because her new look is actually growing on me and I wanna see a classic April who always gets into trouble. That would make the show perfect for me.

I wouldn't let that get you down. The scene did show she has a penchant for snooping around. She just pulled this one off successfully. I think it shows that they will get her into trouble just like her older counterpart. For instance I don't think he little trick would work dealing with a Foot Clan group.

Well at the end of the last episode "monkey brains" Splinter offers April to train her to be a female ninja. I don't want to be pessimistic, but this should be the end of our beloved damsel in distress April and we should "welcome" the new "kick some villains ass" April. Yeah she literally says that by the way. And I had so much hope for this new series.
