What Makes a DID/GID scene good or bad

Post by TheVampirePrincess »

I am aware that we love certain situations of distress, whether it would be clothing theft or hostage situations but, I'm going to talk about what makes a scene good or bad.

PROS of some DID/GID
*Cute boy or girl
*Happy ending/rescue
*A lot of gagtalk &/or mmphing
*a lot of struggling
*a gag I may like, opinions vary
*a nice & practical bondage scenario (I especially love scenes where the guy is tied with rope around the wrist & hands behind the back but no bound arms)

CONS of some DID/GID
*Scenes where one gender is gagged but the other is not, this especially ticks me off if the other gender has never been gagged in their respected show or if it is a character that I drool over.
*Scenes with more monologue than gagtalk (sadly some of my favorites fall under this category).
*Scenes where the person in distress does not get rescued/end up getting killed.
*An uncomfortable scenario, such as most hentai scenes
*OVERKILL
*An ugly person in distress over a cute one.

Of course, sometimes a pro outweighs a con & I still like the situation

So, what are some pros & cons in some DID/GID scenes you may have seen

PROS
Girls wearing lipstick.
Girls with red/orange.pink hair.
Arms bound to torso or straitjacket.
Any gag that covers the mouth, but especially the nose too.
supernatural gags such as zippers, metal plates, mouth removal or mouth and nose removal.
Mmmphings.
Mummification :D.
CONS
gags that don't cover the mouth.
Restraints that don't bind the arms to the torso.
A guy gets gagged but a girl doesn't (Simpsons and Cloudy with a chance of meatballs 2).
Blindfolds/eyes closed (i prefer at least on of the main facial features to be viable).
blonde and no lipstick (except Sailor moon who wears lipstick sometimes).
Doesn't make a sound or can still talk when gagged,
The only girl on the team who's worn lipstick is also the only girl who has never been tied up nor gagged (Digimon adventures My little pony friendship is magic),

I like it when the character in distress's (for me a guy) eyes are closed, it makes them look more helpless or it shows the effort that they try to escape.

As for the opposite gender getting gagged, I agree with you, although my case is the opposite as in a guy who does not get gagged but a girl does, especially if it's a guy is really attractive & he has never gotten gagged at all *cough* Dantailian No Shioka *cough*

Cons:
-Men also being tied up
-DiD in question being under 15
-DiD not passing as an organic human woman (aka gynoids)
-Bad outfits/The DiD in question normally wearing a good outfit and gets restrained in a bad one
-Gags that aren't tape/are crooked
-Being less than 10 seconds in length
-Lack of a full body shot
-Bad end of any kind
-Injury/blood
-Animation errors
-Sadness/Crying
-Rape, although groping doesn't bother me
-Bad camera positioning
-Hair not being let down hans single buns
-Off-screen ungagging

I am very picky and not proud of it.

Pros.
Lot of mmmphing.
Lot of struggling.
Tight looking gag.
Gagged people trying to communicate among them.
Visual distress.
Funny tortures.
Damsel hung upside down with her undies showing up.
Mom and daughter bound.
Onscreen gagging and ungagging.
Victim with hands/paws free trying invain to take off the gag.
Victim full wrapped.
Victim unusual yet not too ugly.
Gagged victim deserving to be silenced.
Victim being restrained for a freaking long time.

Cons.
Victim being able to speak thorough the gag.
Ridiculusly small/loose gags.
Gags inconsistency.
Blindfold without gag.
Victim not mmmphing at all.
Victim not struggling at all.
Gore/blood.
Snuff.
Victim too ugly.
The whole scene turning out to be staged.
Rape (expecially if the victim is visibly underage).

Momoyoy: There was a female gagged scene in The Simpsons in the beginning of "Dude, Where's My Ranch," where Snake is with his "Family." Suicide had the vid before YouTube took it off.

Pros: I like DiD's with both young and mature
The OTM gags
Family DiDs
Smiling over the gags
Gag kissing
The stuff the others posted

Cons: I just don't like dark DiDs, meaning Rated M for Mature stuff that ends bad.

I'm someone of simple tastes.

I like a gag scene as long as it doesn't contain any gore, rape, children, or animals and furry stuff. I also like bondage that's relatively lighthearted, like when the person is humorously trying to speak through the gag.

And undies. Love it when someone is tied up in underwear or boxers.

My favourite type of scene is when the damsel is captured and tied by a character who normally should be helpless before her by means of tricks or suprises, or overconfidence. I can enjoy the typical helpless damsel but I prefer though girls captured by weak characters.

Also like the ropes, tape or whatever wrapped around her torso, or at least the bindings are visible. I don´t mind CID scenes, but I don´t like CID scenes where the guys take the good shots. I also dislike blindfolds, handcuffs and very violent scenes.
Search for the new, but don´t forget what you already have.

something I forgot to mention in what I like in DID/GID scenes are characters with really light skin characters in distress & crossdressing characters in distress, thought I'd put that up.

For me there are a few things that makes a scene stand out above the rest:
1. There's some story that explains the lead-up to the scene. Why's the person in distress tied up? By whom? Where? The more details, the more interesting the scene.
2. OTN gags. Love me some OTN gags.
3. Good gagtalk. Just adds to the scene, plain and simple.
4. Having the bonds hold the character for a long time or until they're freed. Bonds that don't hold a character for long tend to bring a scene down for me. It just doesn't feel as interesting when you know that the character can easily just shake the gag off or burst through the ropes with minimal effort.
5. Having the person in distress be gagged even though it might not be necessary. Knowing that the villian/the writers made a conscious decision to gag the person (Rather than just gagging them out of obvious necessary reasons) gives a scene more weight and oomf.

That is all. xD

Here's what I like in a scene:

- Good animation.
- Damsel is stuffed in a bag and carried away.
- Bags that have details like patches and stitches.
- Gag that covers the mouth, such as tape or otm/otn gag.
- Rope, preferably tied around the arms and waist like a band.
- Gagged damsel listening in on her captors' conversation/plans.
- Interaction between captors and captive.
- Indignant gag talk.

Stuff I don't like:

- Scenes that show a POV shot of a bag engulfing the damsel, but no shot showing the actual bagged damsel. (Samurai Champloo!)
- Bagged scenes where the bag doesn't move or the struggle is a simple animation loop.
- Ball gags. Not my thing.
- Weird, fetishistic rope ties.
- Few shots of the gagged damsel.
- Violence and gore.
- Damsel is killed.

Pros:
Damsels with big earrings getting only tape gags (a single strip rather than around the head is a sure method of showing the earrings)
Tomboys gagged (it would be possible for her to grumble through her gag)

Cons:
Plain damsels gagged while the other type is not (I hate that more than anything when the girl who is not plain in comparison is left gag-free)
Manly men gagged, (don't get me started)

Pros:
Big girls in distress
Good gag scenes either ballgags, tape gags, even cleave gags.
If the scene last more than like 10 seconds.
Nice tie up
mummifications
Women tying up other women.

Cons:
If the damsel is captured but we don't see them tied up.
Tie up scenes but no gags.
GIDs.
Snuffs.
