rather disconcerting. still, the internet is a powerful thing. kind of hard to control it at all. still, this could lead to a whole lot of anger on all sides in the end.

in actuallity, i cannot full blame the government for trying a bill like this. though it does seem a tad on the uncostitutional, the internet has gone wild. combine the wild west with the nazi's and marylin manson and you get the internet. still, while no amount of public outcry could overpower them giving themselves check boosts, i am sure a nation worth of political and public pressure will remove the bill. though i personally think they will leave youtube and the like alone. they would liekly target more on priating sites who take high money items like movies and videogaems and make them dirt cheap to obtain. even then that wouldn't be enough to deal with pirating; it makes prohibition seem easy, jsut with less blood and death and gangster risings.

and to those guys obsessed with government ocrruption and conspiracy, yes both exist. yet it is not even half of bad as most people make it out. the government could have forced through dozens of highly dictatorish bills long ago, yet they haven't. the land of the free is not the smae as it used to be, but it is not so far gone as to be dictatorial. while many in the government may be corrupt, there are still plenty of good guys. and the corrupt fellows know they would not benefit if the nation fell to pieces or the people rose up in protest. rulers always fear the fickle crowds. this is probably jsut a vain attempt to have some control over the eight pound gorrila that is the internet; and that gorrilla will destroy this tether as it did all the rest.
