Re: Top cat the movie
Actually it wasn't made in the UK, Vertigo Films only distributed there. Here's the entry at wiki:
Top Cat: The Movie (also known in Spanish as Don Gato y su Pandilla, literally "Top Cat and His Gang.") is a 2011 3D Mexican-Argentinian family comedy film based on the Hanna-Barbera cartoon series, Top Cat, which ran from 1961 to 1962 on ABC in the United States. The film was released throughout Mexico and Latin America in 2D and 3D select theaters on September 16, 2011 and it was a critical and box office success. The English version, released in the United Kingdom on June 1, 2012, was largely panned from critics and fans alike, but still was a box-office success as well.

The former makes sense to me, remembered hearing Top Cat had continued to be popular in Mexico at the turn of the century. On the latter, they have Rob Schneider voicing the new antagonist, make of that what you will. And before you ask, yes, the film had a theatrical released here...I think a few weeks ago. That's not saying much though.
