After running into a group of pirates Sandokan and his crew are taken prisoner and Marian is kept to be traded on the slave market. She is bound and gagged in the lower decks only to escape, but must fake her capture when her feeding time comes, only to be recaptured for real. Sadly they don’t re-secure her.
