Lois gets pulled out of her news chopper and into a strange vortex in the middle of the sky. She ends up as Lord Satanis’ hostage to lure Superman to his demise. She is magically bound and gagged at stone henge to watch as Satanis does Superman in with his amazing magical might. Of course we all know who wins and Lois is rescued

From the DC Animated Universe we get a comic book adaptation of Lois’s scene when she’s kidnapped by the Joker in order to trap Superman with his giant chunk of kryptonite. We get all the good scenes but thig time Lois gets a Bow gag. Thought that was cute. The art isn’t as good but its still nice.

Lois is captured by the whacky talks-to-himself Toyman using a can of special silly string to wrap her up nice and tight! He then hauls her away to his hideout much to his “mother’s” dislike as she constantly reminds him through the voices in his crazy head. Superman who was previously held up by Cyborg Superman Hank Henshaw finally breaks in and saves his wife from the raving luney.

Here’s a nice scene from the more modern adventures or Superman. Specifically from the Loeb/McGuinness run. Lois pissed off a bunch of Intergang mob bosses and so they put every meta-human monser to work on rubbing her out. Of course only the one that does the deed gets the money. So Killer Frost saves her only to try and do her in by railroad track cliche!

Lois isn’t the only Lane to get into trouble all the time. True Lucy doesn’t have nearly as many scenes but she does have her share of bad times. Check out the lovely assortment of Lois’ blonde trouble prone sister Lucy Lane!

In the following events to Identity Crisis it was learned that Zatanna used her magic powers to change Selina Kyles’ personality in order to sway her to the side of good. Zatanna is remorseful for whiping villains minds along with Batman’s in one case. She tell Catwoman what she did and Selina reacts by taping her mouth shut and taking her out fast and hard. Zatanna stops her before it goes too far but is still remorseful and lets the attack go knowing full well how mad she felt.

In this issue of Brave and the Bold ol’ Bat’s teams up with Zatanna to solve a mystery surrounding the death of a faith healer. Zatanna is friends with Angela Marcy who seems to be the next victim in mind for the mobsters that killed the first healer. While Zatanna does a heck of a job protecting her, the old crook Springer has the temple pumped with gas and lays them both unconcious. When they awaken Zatanna is bound gagged and helpless to use any magic! The only mar here is that Z is in her crappy black and red uniform and not her fishnets… but still… its a nice scene!

The Trenchcoat Brigade is summoned by Deadman to correct a disturbance in the spiritual plane. Entrigan supposedly betrays the team leading to their capture. Zatanna, her words being the most powerful weapon, is singled out for a gag as well as a swift execution. Unable to speak her magic words she awaits her fate from the teams would-be betrayer.

In another adventure of JLU the Joker invades the Watchtower in celebration of his first meeting with the Bat. Unfortunately only four Leaguers are guarding the tower. Zatanna is the first to confront the clown but he uses some special bubble gum to keep her mouth shut… but not helpless!
“I didn’t hire any magicians for this anniversary party!” – The Joker
Zatanna and her friend and confidante Jeff are ambushed by a bunch of native cavemen looking dudes and are knocked unconcious. Upon awakening it becomes obvious they know who the two are given they take precautions with Zatanna’s powerful words! A nive big OTM gag! Bonus! She’s in the fishnets in this one! Whoooo!
