Issue 24 (viewtopic.php?f=11&t=9538) ended with Captain Marvel (and Magik) captured with magical chains by Amora the Enchantress and Ove (her son with Namor the Sub-Mariner) in the future of 2052. The scene continues and one new damsel is added! That damsel is Brigid, the daughter of Thor. She's big, she's blonde, and she's in bondage in her second appearance!
https://readcomiconline.to/Comic/Captai ... d=181086#4 (Brigid is manacled about the wrists with magical bonds. She basically asks Thor if she is worthy of Mjnolnir now, but she isn't yet.)
https://readcomiconline.to/Comic/Captai ... d=181086#5 (Rhodes, the daughter of James Rhodes, shows up and uses her invisibility/phasing power to free Brigid. FYI, Rhodes reveals she has this power the exact moment it is germane to the plot. Superhero comics still do that.)
https://readcomiconline.to/Comic/Captai ... d=181086#7 (Back to Carol Danvers, who is still manacled spread-eagle against a wall with magical bonds. The villain, of course, is monologuing.)
https://readcomiconline.to/Comic/Captai ... d=181086#8 (Still manacled, Carol gets Amora to reveal some exposition and that she's hesitant about Ove's plans.)
https://readcomiconline.to/Comic/Captai ... =181086#14 (After a flashback drawn by a guest artist, Ove leads in Magik, who is chained about the neck and wrists and led by demons.)
https://readcomiconline.to/Comic/Captai ... =181086#15 (Carol and Magik are still manacled as Ove conveniently explains his spell won't kill Carol quickly.)
https://readcomiconline.to/Comic/Captai ... =181086#16 (Poorly rendered bit of Ove draining Carol's life force while manacled. He needs it to travel back to her time, to conquer it.)
https://readcomiconline.to/Comic/Captai ... =181086#17 (More draining, more chains. Magik is being forced to aid. And for SleepyComics, Amora gets TKO'd with a chain to the forehead.)
https://readcomiconline.to/Comic/Captai ... =181086#18 (Knocking out Amora only frees one of Carol's arms. She starts blasting but that isn't enough. So now Captain Marvel is fighting with one arm while otherwise chained to a wall. Wonder Woman would applaud.)
https://readcomiconline.to/Comic/Captai ... =181086#22 (Carol is finally freed by Brigid, when she is finally able to summon Mjnolnir and become the new Thor.)
I know chains and manacles are not everyone's bag, and as a stealth gag-snob, I can understand the sentiment. Still, Captain Marvel was technically in bondage for most of this issue. And as I've mentioned before, Kelly Thompson finds a way to restrain her regardless of her power levels often.
