Chrome, Magma and Gen are trying to get to Tsukasa's Empire without being noticed for spoilery reasons I won't get into. However, Homura is keeping an eye on them and will put a stop to their plans if she notices what's going on. Senku and the others try to distract her and while it initially works, she realises what they're up to and starts pursuing the other group. However, Senku is able to use his science wizardry to track her and organise a pincer attack between the two groups. Eventually, they lure her up a tree with a decoy, then cut it down leaving her nowhere left to escape to. As she's falling, Kohaku catches her, saving her from being harmed and capturing her in one fell swoop. She's briefly seen tied up afterwards.
Unfortunately, that's about it. Homura only appears once again in the entire volume, untied and eating ramen in a cell. It was still quite a nice surprise though!
