Magically applied gags

Post by Momoyoy »

Here's a crazy request, how about a list of magically applied gags? I'm not necicarrily talking about supernatural gags such as zippermouths and mouth removal. Her are some examples.

Underdog: The Witch Of Pickyoon, Part One
Dokidoki! Precure episode 16

If this is too much to ask for, then never mind.

Well....I know of 2 scenes that fall under this category.

1st, it's an anime that I don't know the name of, but it is of a with girl getting gagged with an X tape gag via magic by her friend at the 0:24 mark.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1I2j0rpETP8" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

2nd, there's a GID scene in this Hannah Barbara cartoon called Os Impossíveis where a robber binds & gags a security guard with some enchanted laser beam at the 1:27 mark.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GazVDWgrseE" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I hope this helped you out.

I found just a preview of that episode with, I think, only part of the series:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=__L8heDTJrU" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Has anyone got the whole episode or the scene at least?

Also, I remember two scenes in Sabrina The Teenage Witch The Animated Series: In one (about Sabrina taking a witch exame) both her aunts are zipgagged by the supreme witch. In another Salem has his mouth turned into a painted red x, to prevent him from suggesting Sabrina to not buy a pair of enchanted dancing shoes for Harvey.
Can't rememember the title of episodes thought.

The one with Sabrinas aunts is Genetration zap.

While we're on the topic of zippergags, a girl gets her mouth zipped in the Sabrinas secret life episode "What's In A Name?" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bzUmebvEqV0" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; 16:41

It's a japanese clichè. In TV game shows when a challenger is forbidden to talk (due to a penalty or other) he/she usually wear a white mask with a red X.

Because in Japan, the X symbol is used for Cancel, Off Limits, Not Allowed, or Incorrect. When you see someone wearing a mask/gag with the big red X on it, it's a message saying "This person is not allowed to talk." You'll sometimes see it being used as a punishment in batsu games wherein it's usually put on a normal sneezeguard mask.
