Chris Hemsworth ("Thor" movies, upcoming Avengers: Age of Ultron) and Charlie Day ("It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia," upcoming Horrible Bosses 2) are joining New Line Cinema and Warner Bros.' Vacation reboot, says The Hollywood Reporter.
Ed Helms will play Rusty Griswold in the comedy, while Christina Applegate will appear as his wife. Chevy Chase and Beverly D’Angelo are set to make cameos. John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein wrote the script and are making their directorial debut.
The new version of the vacation adventures of the quirky dad and his family will follow Rusty, who now has his own family misadventures on the road.
Hemsworth will reportedly play the husband of Rusty’s sister, Audrey (a role that has not been cast), while Day is expected to cameo as a river rafting guide.
Chris Bender, David Dobkin, Jeff Kleeman are producing. Filming is scheduled to start in September.

Sometimes I think 'reboot' means the wheel-boot that prevents the car from going anywhere...Anyway, how does this make you feel?

A reboot is starting over, this to me is a continuation of the series. This first 2 Vacation movies were good, while the rest went downhill.

I completely despise the second film. No, that second film wasn't the one about how to make your family miserable during the winter holidays, that one was tolerable albeit that's not really saying much.patrickxtrem wrote:first 2 Vacation movies were good
