The three titles will take place between "A New Hope" and "The Empire Strikes Back" and explore the aftermath of the Death Star's destruction for both the Rebel Alliance and the Galactic Empire.
Come January 2015, the Force will be with Marvel Entertainment. Not only is that the month in which the publisher will release the first in a series of hardcover collections of Marvel’s original Star Wars comics published concurrently with the original trilogy, but it’s also the month which launches a new line of Star Wars comic books, created by high-profile creators including Jason Aaron, Kieron Gillen and John Cassaday...
...The three series announced were: Star Wars, by Aaron and Cassaday, Star Wars: Darth Vader by Gillen and Salvador Larocca, and Star Wars: Princess Leia[/], by Mark Waid and Terry Dodson. All three series will take place in a timeframe immediately following the end of the original Star Wars movie, with Star Wars and Darth Vader being ongoing series and Princess Leia being a five-issue mini-series.
Roll-outs of the series will begin with Star Wars in January 2015, with a new series launching each month subsequently until March.
