Damsel in question is the leader of the rebels; and I recall her begrudging the player should they take too long to untie her. It's as if the game knows its potential audience.

One missed scene that I always fault the game for is for this news lady:
She trash talks you throughout the whole game; in a perfect world you'd go over their and utilize a tight-fitting gag to solve the problem. Unfortunately, as far as I recall you never see her in gameplay, and such a cut scene never happens either.
