Well for those of you who already saw my post on the original Biker Mice from Mars cartoon's DiD scenes (viewtopic.php?f=19&t=2061" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;), you probably saw I mentioned that I had several BMfM books on order. Well I have good news and bad news for you guys. The good news is that all the books I'd ordered (minus 1 which got cancelled ) finally came in so I got them today. Also good is that 2 of them did have some DiD stuff, even including a gag scene for Charley in one of them. The bad news is that the other one with DiD has a text-only description of Charley's b&g scene from the "Rock 'n' Ride" episode, and the other 4 books didn't have any DiD scenes for her at all. So I was a little disappointed that out of 6 books only 2 produced anything, but I knew when I bought these that might be the case. Sometimes you get lucky and sometimes you strike out with these things. But let's not dwell on the negative and instead we'll focus on the bright side ok? So let me share the two scenes I did find, which are still pretty nice.
Biker Mice from Mars - Annual 1995
- This turned out to be the prize of the entire lot. I remembered someone had alerted years ago at the old Western Civ or AVGDiD that they remembered this book having a Charley DiD scene, possibly even with a gag. I've been keeping it in mind since then, and sure enough, that info turned out to be dead-on accurate. In the book's second story, called "Bikes Twice!", we get a nice 2-panel scene of Charley bound and OTM gagged by Greasepit, who ambushes her at the Last Chance Garage while the mice are out. With her out of the way, he's then able to carry out Limburger's plan of switching the mice's bikes with useless replicas. The mice somehow fail to see/hear her at all when they inspect the garage, so she isn't found until the end of the story a few pages later when we get the rescue panel. Also on the contents page of this book we get a completely unrelated and random scene of Charley tied-up and suspended in the air hanging off the side of some building. A nice little bonus! That's all the DiD in this one. I wasn't overly thrilled with the art style in this book to be honest as it's more comic-like and not the best-looking Charley I've seen, but not the worst either. All-in-all still some pretty nice scenes for Charley here.
Biker Mice from Mars - Rock 'n' Ride! (Bullseye Books)
- Now this one is a short chapter book for young readers similar to those Scooby-Doo books I posted last week. Unfortunately, it doesn't have any interior illustrations like the Scooby ones do. But we do at least get 4-5 pages in the text with some description of Charley's bound and gagged scene from ep 1 of the cartoon. Everything plays out almost exactly the same here, except Greasepit gives her a hand-gag after she wiggles her gag off and not before, or at least that capture part isn't described. I know it's not much but at least it's something.
Alright, so those are the ones I got that actually turned out to have some DiD. Now here are the other ones that were complete busts, just so everybody knows which ones are a waste of time looking for DiD:
Biker Mice from Mars - Rock 'n' Ride (Buzz Books)
- This one was a disappointment as it's a short story book with pictures on every page and it does cover the "Rock 'n' Ride" episode. Unfortunately Charley's kidnap and b&g scene by Greasepit is completely omitted here, so no soup for us.
Biker Mice from Mars - Read and Colour (Dean)
- Here we have a BMfM coloring book which features the exact same illustrations as the black cover book shown directly above. So yet another book covering "Rock n' Ride" but without the Charley DiD scenes. Crapola.
Biker Mice from Mars - Let's Rock n' Ride! Sticker Fun
- This one was a bummer because it's printed like a coloring book except it has nice big full-color pages with a story and some comic-like art similar to the 1995 Annual. Unfortunately despite the cover leading us to believe this might be a version of the "Rock 'n' Ride" story we all know and love, it turns out to be a completey different story altogether, with no DiD for Charley. The two sticker sheets in the middle were intact and there's nothing good on those either.
Biker Mice from Mars - Coloring & Activity Book (Random House)
- This one has some nice illustrations of Charley, but no DiD for her whatsoever. I had to take a chance on buying this one because the Amazon listing didn't say specifically which BMfM coloring book this was, just that it was published in 1994. I was hoping against hope that it would be the "Rock & Ride" coloring book that was part of this same set released in 1994, along with this and two other books. Of course, it wasn't, and turned out to be this one. Darn.
But the good news is there could still be some other BMfM books out there with DiD scenes for Charley or others! Take a look at some of these ones:
Biker Mice from Mars - Noisy Book
- Well I actually had ordered this one along with the others I got, but just before they shipped the company pulled it and sent me an e-mail saying they found it wasn't in acceptable condition anymore for a used book. So they just canceled it and refunded my money. I really would have rather just had the book though so I could check it for more Charley DiD! Supposedly this one has a few different stories in it.
Biker Mice from Mars - Metalhead (Mammoth)
- That's the character Hard Rock on the cover, so I'm guessing this is probably an adaptation of the S1 episode he appeared in by the same name, "Hard Rock." His alien girlfriend Darla gets kidnapped by Limburger and b&g in that ep, so the scene could be recreated here. Unfortunately this one looks like it's probably another text-only book without illustrations.
Biker Mice from Mars - Metalhead (Random House)
- Another version of the "Metalhead" story that's got to be based on the "Hard Rock" episode. This one looks a lot more likely to have pictures of Darla's b&g scene than the other one.
Biker Mice from Mars - Rock...and Ride! Coloring Book (Random House)
- Now this is the coloring book I was hoping to get instead of that green one. I would imagine there's a good chance that Charley gets at least something in this so I'd love to track a copy down. The problem is these BMfM coloring books seem to be extremely rare now and very expensive. That green one cost me $63 plus on Amazon and that was the lowest price I could find! For a coloring book! Still, I'd pay that much again if it meant getting hold of a nugget of Charley DiD gold.
So those are the main other books I've seen that might have some goodies in them for us. I might try to buy them at a later time but I probably won't get any more for now. If anyone feels in the buying mood though and wants to investigate some of these other ones for us, be my guest! You can find most of these to buy at either Amazon or ebay.

Re: Biker Mice from Mars book scans
Well I actually just remembered I do have 1 more Charley scene from my collection I can share:
Biker Mice from Mars #1 (Marvel Comics)
- This one was contributed by somebody (bunnydelic?) at either the old Western Civ or AVGDiD board years ago, so these are not my scans and I'm afraid I don't have the full pages. Got the cover scan off the web. Here we have Charley's DiD scenes from ep 1 "Rock 'n' Ride" recreated in comic book form, except what sucks is we don't get to see her gagged in this version, only the hand-gag capture by Greasepit and the tie-up. Still, she looks quite hot here I think, even changed to a readhead.

Nice finds! I remember seeing the comic scene adaptation of the first episode but I don't think it was at this quality. Great post and thanks for sharing!

Re: Biker Mice from Mars book scans
You're welcome! Well I have to give the original scanner/contributor credit on that one 'cause he made some great scans of the comic scene. I think it might have been bunnydelic back when he went by Rid Hershel but it's been years since then so I'm not really sure.

Great ones, some times you start to wonder which are the nicer scenes those from the comic/books or the vids.

Re: Biker Mice from Mars book scans
Yeah, well I still like her cartoon scenes a lot better but these ones are nice too. I do still wonder what's in that "Rock...and Ride!" coloring book though...
Re: Biker Mice from Mars book scans
Very nice.
Too bad there's no gag scene on the one released by Marvel.
Thanks for posting.
