does anyone know if the cartoon series Dragon Flyz had any damsel in distress????

Yes it does. There's actually a few scenes. Several involving the whole team getting captured including the main girl Apex. Sadly I do not have a catalog of the scenes but I think there's 2 where she's bound. Typically they are chained to a wall by the villains. Another female character Nora is captured along side one of the guys by a bunch of native kids in Ep 23 "The Children's Crusade." I believe this is the right episode but I'll have to check when I get home. No gags in the series.
