Eightman Anime Scenes

Based on your Anime gag list, can i request for Eightman scene (episode 3 and episode 19) ?
I've tried to look for them in the internet but no luck so far.

I am considering getting the DVD that is advertised here to check for ep 19 and any other scenes that it may propagate. But not entirely sure yet. Very expensive.

I also managed to find the gag scene from ep 38 (the scene on that island cliff).

Now as for these Eightman anime gag scenes, here's what I can tell you guys:

As Suicide mentioned, there's some dvd sets of the U.S. English-dubbed version of this anime that were released here in the last several years by these folks: http://8thmandvd.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
A few years back I actually bought both the 1st and 2nd box set, and I can tell you for sure that between these two volumes they do have the gag scenes from #3 and #38. #3 as I've indicated on my anime gag list is a bit disappointing because it's actually supposed to be Eightman disguising himself as the b&g girl who he's already rescued at that point. If you can get past that though the few visuals are very nice. Also the #38 scene with Sachiko/Jenny is nice, though there's not that many shots of her.

But the #19 scene where Sachiko/Jenny is bound and OTM gagged is NOT on those American version dvd sets. I watched all the episodes on both sets guys, and it just wasn't there. See, the problem with the U.S.-dubbed version of Eightman is that to begin with, there were some episodes from the Japanese version that never even made it over here. I forget the exact number and which ones but I think it was maybe 4 or 5 that simply don't exist in the U.S.A. version. Then there are also just a bunch of missing episodes for which that company simply couldn't find source tapes to put them on dvd. So those episodes are simply "lost" episodes of Tobor the 8th Man at this point.

(the last one was a partially live-action special though I believe) Those U.S.-produced dvd sets only total 41 of the 57 episodes from the Japanese version, so altogether that's 16 episodes missing from the original Japanese series.

I was able to get caps of that #19 scene from Xiuraso who posted them on the old board several years ago. But I don't have a vid for it either. I know for a fact that a complete box-set of the entire series was released in Japan, but it was in the early or mid 2000's I think. I've been waiting years to see if somebody would rip all the eps from those dvds and put them online somewhere, but as of the last time I checked I couldn't find any. So there is some small amount of hope to get the #19 scene and check the remaining episodes, because of that Japanese dvd set. Without actually buying the set though, which is probably extremely rare and expensive now, the odds don't look good for getting that scene anytime soon.
