Batman #17
The full issue isn't out until Wednesday, but CNN has the preview of the final issue for Death of the Family. As promised in Batgirl #16, Barbara's a little tied up at the moment:
All I can say is two things: Adios, Alfred and thank God for Greg Capullo's art
Full preview here if anyone's interested: http://www.buzzcomics.net/showpost.php? ... stcount=17" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

The preview for Batgirl #16 seems to be different scenario from this:

I'm thinking the issue will maybe lead into THIS scenario by the end of the run. Good to see Babs getting bound and gagged so quickly back into her role as Batgirl.
But also: FUCK DC for this...

I've actually managed to find leaked scans of this issue, and can confirm Barbara is gagged in this scene... I won't say much more than this, other than what happens is really twisted. I won't post up here for spoilers, but if anyone wants a link to the scans, PM me.

Batgirl #16 came out last month. The issue ends with her waking up and bound and gagged but it's from her point of view so we don't see anything.Suicide wrote:The preview for Batgirl #16 seems to be different scenario from this:

As for the preemptive "Fuck you DC", the issue already leaked and...
Does anyone know how to make spoiler tags on this site? Because it's not what you think.
Re: Batman #17
Yeah I just read the spoiler. My "fuck you" is more directed at what they've done to Joker. He's not any more interesting just because he's got his face cut off. The situation of having the whole family at his mercy is GREAT. But with only a history of 6 years in the rivalry it doesn't feel like there's much impact to it. This Joker is just lame. I never liked the portrayal of Joker as completely off the wall INSANE. He's more fun when he's some-what grounded. This is just over the top.

now you know how i felt when emma frost turned into diamond lego blocks and reformed and kicked thor's ass. albeit that was the mischaracterization of the pheonix force and emma's own powers over the mischaracterization of a character's persona (and wasn't nearly as bad as that brainless scene in avengers arena when they forgot the metal man was made of, infact, solid living metal).Suicide wrote:Yeah I just read the spoiler. actually no, there is a hint here, at the end. it is what he said there about the last time he saw the joker before this incident. a hint that this might show this was not what we thought it was.
Re: Batman #17
Have to agree with ya dude... I have hated this crossover event since it started. I just don't like what they're done to Joker... In doing such a drastic change in his character, they've really diminished him a lot. He plays less like the unpredictable villain, and more like a spoilt brat looking for payback.Suicide wrote:Yeah I just read the spoiler. My "fuck you" is more directed at what they've done to Joker. But hey, they'll probably go and fix it a few years down the line when they bring him back, so what the hey!

Re: Batman #17
Well, you can blame Tony S. Daniel for the Joker's look right now. The only reason he's even like this is because editorial wanted new villains for Batman to fight (i.e. The Court of Owls and Dollmaker) and wanted to let the old villains cool off for awhile. I'm not a long time comic reader, but from what Snyder's done, I've loved the Death of the Family story. My only gripe is that Joker's plans are way too twisted. Especially with his 'joke' on the Bat-family.Suicide wrote:Yeah I just read the spoiler. My "fuck you" is more directed at what they've done to Joker. Can anyone tell me.. do we see Batgirl gagged without the bag over her head?
Re: Batman #17
Her face is mummified in bandages (she mpphs so she is clearly gagged, but her whole head sans eyes are covered)Proud Nintendo Fan wrote:Can anyone tell me.. do we see Batgirl gagged without the bag over her head?
Re: Batman #17
The bandages also look bloody. The reveal at the end makes it more acceptable but the look of it is unattractive.

Nu52 has always been a big FU to fans if ask me. The time frame for thisbaltbworld.just doesn't make anything impact like it would in the old days.
Only good is the upcoming World Finest #12 with PG back in her ONE AND ONKY good outfit. How long is the other since they kill Kara and now Karen takes over.
