this is happenign disturbingly often though. avengers, two different version of spiderman, and they of course have new ones coming out. but why replace young justice? spiderman i could kinda get, but this new show with chibi titans in it is not even close to resembling young justice. it is in fact the opposite of young justice. hell, why not have both. get your for serial young justice, and if you get moody, watch the goofy show with the teen titan chibis.

my brain hurts with these people..... still, sometimes i can kinda understand what they are doing with these decisions. and at mother fucking least they are not the same imbeciles that think turning the story of hansel and gretel into a van helsing rip off is a good idea, or evne entertaining.

I just realized something with this show. This makes the third time a show of Greg Weisman's ended after only two seasons. His run on Gargoyles ended after season two causing the show to degrade, Spectacular Spider-Man ended because of Disney buying Marvel, and Young Justice is ending due to damn incompetence on part of the Cartoon Network management. Coincidence or something more?

Let's hope the show will go out with a bang, just like in season one, the last ep featuring Canary's double gag scene. :)

You forgot W.I.T.C.H. too. Yeah it seems Weisman, though incapable of producing anything I dislike, cannot keep a show going for more than 2 seasons. It's uncanny.

Toy sales likely factored heavily into this one. Young Justice's toyline bombed while Green Lantern never had one to begin with. Meanwhile Batman is a veritable cash cow so they're probably eager to revisit that well so they can squeeze out more merchandise.

There's a reason you're already seeing toys and Lego sets for stuff like Ultimate Spider-Man while poor Avengers: EMH had nothing.

How are these two great shows getting canceled and Ultimate Spider-man is still on the air? Watching that show is like smashing a mallet into your own face for a half hour. :S

Spider-Man is a hot property Disney XD is interested in promoting. That and merchandising.

that is hardly an excuse. i never saw any legend of korra merchandice. and i never knew of the original avatar series having popular toys. i never bought one for sure.hell even the show code lyoko, i show i liked but knew was not anywhere near the level og avatar, had very few toys to it and it mostly ran for the full.

Making a show that doesn't require a severe brain injury to enjoy would help out on that goal ... ;)

Well thundercats gets a Lego series. Not fooling me that Lego Chima just screams it. The suckfest shows get renewed and good stuff like YJ and GL get canned.

W.i.t.c.h. I do miss though too. Ultimate Spidey haven't seen yet and been wanting to but expect it to be nothing like the comic. Maybe they shoulda used Miles.

thundercats had a hell of a lot of potential, though it seems to still be in purgatory over being dead. and while saying something is noramlly not as good as the comic or book, the witch seris could not compare to the comic. wasn't bad, but when the story had the maturity to actaully kill of that grandmother and leave the girls ibn doubt, confusion, and even fear of their powers, then it is awesome. admtiably she became something akin to a force ghost, if a physical one, but she still died.

ATLA did have a toyline and it flopped, but that didn't matter because ATLA was always a finite production. It was always going to just be three seasons so there wasn't much at stake. The Legend of Korra is the same way. It was greenlit as a mini-series and only got renewed for another season later.

Last Airbender pulled in massive ratings and DVD sales too. Young Justice (though an amazing show) isn't even near the hit Avatar was. The show wasn't exactly a ratings beast and DVD sales weren't great either. There are a probably a number of reasons this decision was made. It sucks hard but we'll just have to accept it and hope they give Greg Weisman another shot to make a show more than 2 seasons long. Here's hoping he pitches a Birds of Prey animated series *crosses fingers*

At least we can understand why he ended W.I.T.C.H. only after 2 seasons ... He ran out of letters. Very wise decision to name all the eps of a series after the letters of the alphabet.
Regarding Young Justice or Green Lantern, maybe we will see a movie with them.
