Larry Hagman, who created one of American television's most supreme villains in the conniving, amoral oilman J.R. Ewing of "Dallas," died on Friday, the Dallas Morning News reported. He was 81.

Even though my grandmama was a Dynasty person and for her money Joan Collins as Alexis Carrington was THE soap opera villain especially when she was bitching it up (she didn't use those exact words when relating it to me ) Larry Hagman will be missed. And if it isn't already, that 10-gallon hat of his belongs in the Smithsonian.

Damn, I just knew something like this was going to happen. Wonder how the producers of the revival will handle this?
