Weird-News: Disney Transformers

Post by rider28031 »

Apologies to ARNie for hijacking his news thing but there was no other way of describing it. This little toy comes from Japan (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X8u7px_GzWQ" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;) and has Mickey and friends join together to make a megazord:

Well its odd since they lost the liscense to the us sentai series aka Power Rangers. Disney Buster maybe, current series Gobuster calls he mechs busters.

It is kinda neat though. Yes I am liking it. Won't buy though.

Not sure if they are proper transformers or not, but Takara DID actually do some Disney Transformers some years back.
Mickey mouse (and steamboat willy inspired black and white recolour) and Donald Duck, when they transformed the character even appeared in the drivers seat for vehicle mode.

I was tempted to buy Donald when I saw it at a con =P

Heh, not exactly Weird-News but at least it's good for an eyecatch.

Speaking of which, another article referred to this as a Disney Voltron rather than Transformers, and it's also being released by Bandai who creates the Super Sentai/Power Rangers Megazords to begin with, so don't expect Hasbro to raise a protest over this being a Transformers swipe.

Anyway, the Disney Voltron...Megazord...whatever...will be selling for ¥13,440 (US$169) when it comes out in Japan.
