I think people are jumping the gun here. Marsden never said that the show was over after this season. He was responding to the question if he would be recording more. He gave an answer about what he was recording and that's all. They might not have a plan for further eps involving Impulse (his character) nor plans for what a third season might have at all. So that's all that he knows he'll be recording for.
The decision to postpone airings and reruns is certainly a head-scratcher and a terribly handled decision, but it certainly says nothing about the show being out right canceled. So far no confirmation, just speculation from bad bad schedule changes, which are a dime a dozen in the TV industry. CN especially.

You are right, I did read that Madsen said he finished his recordings, so maybe people are going crazy too early. Plus, I do get CN wanting to celebrate it's birthday. Still, no DC Nation until 2013? What the hell?Suicide wrote:I think people are jumping the gun here. Marsden never said that the show was over after this season. He was responding to the question if he would be recording more. What?! No! WHY?! Why does this always happen to the shows I love?
Re: Young Justice/Green Lantern Animated both series cancel
Someone from Cartoon Network tweeted that DC Nation will return in January with all-new episodes.
There's been some speculation that the show was pulled so CN wouldn't have to run new episodes against Nick's Turtles/Kung Fu Panda/TUFF Puppy block of new episodes. Don't know how reliable that is.

Catwoman: Think you can handle me?
Batman: I've got handcuffs.
Catwoman: Ooh.

The other major rumor is that it might have something to do with the Dwayne McDuffie estate and the use of the Milestone heroes. DC allegedly just lost rights to the characters, or are at least having some legal troubles, and Young Justice has been using Icon and Rocket and just introduced Static in the episode that was supposed to air yesterday.
Re: Young Justice/Green Lantern Animated both series cancel
My initial thought was that they are not renewing the series after the current run of episodes are completed, and wanted a less lengthy transition into Beware the Batman and Teen Titans Go!. Either way we'll have to wait and see. The last episode of YJ was accidentally released on itunes btw, and can be located online if anybody is interested in watching it...disguiseartist1 wrote:The other major rumor is that it might have something to do with the Dwayne McDuffie estate and the use of the Milestone heroes. damn, cancelled Young Justice already? but it barely got to lay down a good chunk of episodes.. loved that show too, this sucks. seems like these DC shows usually last only a little while then get cancelled and replaced by something else which does the same and repeats, lately anyway. wonder if it's really a good idea to keep getting interested in these if this trend continues

There is nothing to suggest it has been cancelled. The shows were put on hiatus until January but nothing has been said about them being axed. That was just the OP jumping the gun.Miho wrote:damn, cancelled Young Justice already?

Re: Young Justice/Green Lantern Animated both series cancel
uuuuuuuuuuuuhh, what the hell is wrong with these people? i mean, seriously? ending young justice and green latern? this is as stupid as ending symbionic titans for god sake. young justice, an impressive and surprisingly mature take on a group of young heroes. green lantern i have always been so so about. but young justice just has sooo much potential to continue! like symbionic titan had such potential as well for god sake. they are gonna replace young justice with a teen titans parody show? beware the batman i am kinda hopeful for, a little, if it goes along the same ideas of green lantern, but young justice? its like replacing avatar the last airbender, legend of korra, god damn transformers prime, with a show like cow and chicken...... okay, that is far too harsh. that was pure idiocy, atlest the teen titan shorts were kinda cute. but they are not a worth replacement of young justice.
if they gonna replace young justice, don't do a teen titan parody, revive the mother fucking series! we loved that series man.... no no, even better. make a new version of teen titans with a similar story and pathos as young jsutice, hell make in it the young justice dimension even. perhaps they are hurtin for a new show more like what they used to make, like foster's home and power puff girls, but don't get rid of such a good show. let alone two.
sighs... on the other hand, the young justice series has had a fairly long run, made longer seemingly because of huge delays between episodes. forty six episodes is not bad, especially compared to what happened to symbionic titan. but green latern has not. it is obviously not a series that has or should jsut run for twenty six or so episodes.
why don't they jsut remove some of the live action shit and put these two new shows there isntead? while personally i am probably one of the only eight people in the entire galaxy who does not mind them, they should be expendable when compared to sustaining the existence of the toons.
