Or its a show produced by two great directors and written by the creator of one of the longest running super-natural themed shows ever. Think I'll take my chances with a good production team over predetermined negativism on a show's concept.

The following is from an article in this week's TV Guide. I was hoping to find it up here, but they hadn't posted it yet, so this will have to suffice:
The series kicks off with a mysterious, planetwide blackout that quickly leads to mass panic, starvation, and anarchy. We then flash forward 15 years to find the US---now known as the Monroe Republic---a veritable paradise of lush forests, clean air, and gentle farming communities.
But don't be deceived. This new world is the ultimate GOP-NRA nightmare. In the America of Revolution, all firearms are illegal and punishable by death. The law is enforced by a roving militia, led by the quietly ruthless warlord Capt. Tom Neville (Giancarlo Esposito) whose physical similarity to Barack Obama is hard to ignore. The resistance fighters, many forced to work in chain gangs for not paying taxes, are known as rebels and patriots. But, the shows execs swear there's no Republican agenda here. It's more like history redux. "Emphasis Mine.."
Accuse me of complaining about a show I never watch nor do I intend to watch as much as you'd like, but if this is their idea of 'entertainment', we're in bigger trouble than I thought..

Okay, YOU'RE the one telling ME I shouldn't be excited about something. That's all I was saying. 
This article is funny really, it acts like these kinds of policies and events don't currently happen around the world as we speak (without apocalyptian events). It resembles a North African area more than anything. Claim "Right Wing Propaganda" all you want, these kinds of societies are very real in other parts of the world.
Oh yeah, and Giancarlo Esposito really looks like Obama cuz...? He's black? Light skinned? That's about as far as the similarities go.

Hollywood is making a "right wing" anti-Obama film? yeah right...tell me when that occurs and I'll make sure to look out my window to grab myself a pan of flying bacon.
