I wonder if they'll avoid the Rambo 3 bit about Rambo helping the future Taliban fight the Soviets in Afghanistan...

Reef Entertainment has revealed new details about the upcoming Rambo The Video Game, currently in production for consoles and PC. Rambo The Video Game will be a fixed-perspective, first-person shooter and action game allowing players to fill the combat boots of John Rambo on a violent journey through iconic action sequences from the original three legendary Rambo movies.

First Blood, Rambo: First Blood Part II and Rambo III will form the basis for the Rambo gameplay comprising shoot-outs, stealth killings, demolition, knife-play and more.

Probably not, though I have to ask: what does that mean "fixed-perspective first-person shooter"? Does it mean it's a rail-shooter or is it something else? Otherwise, this sounds like it could be pretty decent.

That does make me wonder if there'll be two different ways to play through that segment. Imitate Sly Stallone and be violent but relatively peaceful compared to the original novel (only kill when your back is to the wall), or take a page from the novel and just kill almost everyone you encounter.

The other solution to First Blood is simply whenever you shoot a cop he will always fall over and clutch his limb or similar to show he's still alive but wounded.

Until footage is up though it'll be interesting to see what they come up with for that part.
