Luckily Miller's not directing this one.

Never was a fan of this book. But typically this team does a great job with adaptations. And Carrie Kelly is the reason to watch. She's Frank Miller's best character.

the first form of it was good, though the second series of it was GARBAGE. wtf? dick grayson......... vomits violently. not ot mention that, for some fucked up reason, they have a strange rivalry between batman and superman......... the only conflict in living memory i have between them is their methodology and sometimes ethics.Suicide wrote:Never was a fan of this book. however the dc animated movies has usually done a very good job even when working with not so great comic arcs, and even better with good arcs. the red hood movie gave me CHILLS. didn't like the doomdsay variation of the superman movie. too confusing with the clone, and doomsday was made to be more like a robot and shit. not to mention what lex luthor does to his most trusted pawn, who he has often times depended on.

and thank god miller has nothing to do with it. he has long gone insane and should be incarcerated for attempted character assassination. he was once well known and made great series, works done well and art beautiful. then he did sin city, and went insane. now he can't realize a powerful beautiful heroine is not a sociopathic hooker barmaid, that most comic character do not have a speech and mental impediment that causes them to repeat themselves insanely, and that it is not character interpretation when you make one of the most moral and steadfast heroes in comics, one hwo iwll never willingly kill and has many death heavy on his soul, a psychopathic, pedophile, monster.
of course i am talking about the 'hero' of all star batman, Steve......... if you can guess why i just caleld him Steve, then you get sixteen tasty fictional cookies.

I'm the same way, I'm kinda bummed that they'll be spending so long adapting this book (I hate what it's influence did to Batman and Superman's relationship even in mainstream continuity, thankfully that influence passed away some time in the 90s), but I'll still buy a copy of it for the quality of the product alone.

definantly a low point of the book. superman is not that petty and batman would not give a fuck about him being better than superman or not......... not to mention the factors revealed in the second series of how luthor is controlling superman and wonderwoman is complete garbage, considering that wonder woman would just kill him in such a desperate situation..... though to be fair that the conflict could have developed after those ten years of inactivity.
however i have some confidence. even the not as well done animated features are very entertaining and, for the suckier parts, better than the comics they come from. hell i would dare say that they could make that retarded amazon's attack work out better. though they could not do so with the likes of cry for justice.......... barely holds back immense RAGE.
what would be a incredibly awesome movie if they made a series of movies on that gotham disaster. that would be bitchin. i loved seeing the dark struggle in light of that disaster, as many sides clash and squabble. make it a two part series too, considering the scale of it.
though i would make one change to it, kind of combine it with another series; the laughing joke. instead of barbara being crippled in that thing, in the movie they cna make it happen when she was protecting some kids from joker's men, and the joker himself comes and shoots her, parodying the tragic events in the comics a bit. now that would be epic.
