Re: Donald Trump wins second presidential term
Even though I voted democrat down ticket I get the appeal of Trump. America was founded by rich outlaws going against a massive government system (the British Crown) and would have failed if not for intervention from people not native to the country (the French government). Regardless of your feelings about Trump and his minions they are rich outlaws, the American government is massive as hell, and legal immigrants tipped him over the edge in every demographic that isn't black women or LGBTQ. I had a feeling Kamala was going to lose, but nowhere near this degree. Many will say sexism, racism, Gaza, inflation, Ukraine, etc. but the one unifying theory that probably caused voter apathy (Trump didn't get as many votes as last time) was how out of touch Washington was. A week before the election Kamala said "we like hard work". Americans hate working, most are stuck in low quality jobs because without that they have no health insurance and they can barely afford rent or food. 2/3rds of the richest country on Earth cannot afford a sudden 600 dollar expense. All that constant working without guaranteed time off (depending on which state you live in), quotas essentially acting as a bottomless pit that can never be satisfied, and the looming future of AI; all of this and she genuinely thinks people have a desire to work? On top of getting into two military conflicts after just leaving a forever war? After just using the same tax dollars to bail out the stock market in 2020? There's no wonder apathy overtook the dems.
The real conundrum is the sheer amount of people that didn't turn out. Trump lost 2 million and Kamala lost 14 million, where did the 16 million people from last time go? This election had many new time voters from legal immigrants, people that turned 18 in the last four years, and people that simply never voted before. Early voting was at a record high. Trump would have gained a big portion of the Libertarian vote. Either there is some sort of mass death going on the media is covering up or we're missing votes. The math doesn't add up.

The vote counting is still going on, IMHO it's a bit premature to see how high was turnout until every ballot is counted.

Harris: 67,266,990 | Trump: 72,075,930
If you think THIS year is the outlier, you're not quite hitting the mark.

Re: Donald Trump wins second presidential term
Currently every state but California is done counting to the best of my knowledge, Harris got up to 70 million while Trump retained the 74 million he had last time plus a few hundred thousand more. Going on the assumption the percent of republican voters that left him after the capital riot or died of old age were nullified with new voters and legal immigrants statistically there is consistency. Harris on the other hand somehow lost 11 million votes Biden had. Strange thing is in the swing states the electorate favored voted for democrats in the senate races and (in some cases like Michigan) state judges, resulting in an abnormal amount of split ticket voting. Now top that off with general population increases, 14-17 year olds back in 2020 could vote this year so the pool of the electorate should have grown. I think both Suicide and I are looking at this from different angles but both of us are questioning where did Biden's extra votes come from and why weren't they in play this time? Statistically Trump should have gained more votes than just slightly more from last time and Harris's dip shouldn't be 11 million deep. Miscounting? Missing ballots? Unreported mass death? Numerically there's something fishy and I haven't eaten Long John Silver's in a couple months so it's not me.

Trump is about where he was in 2020. His bump stuck around. The outlier is the 81 Million that happened during a massive mail-in campaign from Dems. Whether it was disengaged voters, vote harvesting or fraudulent votes was never looked into due to disinterest from the courts to "sway" the election results. But it is UNDENIABLE that that voter base from 2020 for Dems was not from engaged, affluent voters that wanted the current administration. Math will get you caught every time.

Harris is up to 71 million votes, Trump 75 million, so the Harris deficit is at 10 million votes compared to Biden in 2020. 4 million of that is from California, Harris-7 million, Biden-11 million, but that's with only 70% of the count. Why California has counted only 70% percent of their vote almost a week after the election is beyond me but then again it's California. Harris lost another million votes in New York versus 2020 Biden and 600,000 from Illinois. Between CA. NY and IL, that's 5.5 million of that 10 mil deficit. What I think happened is those Free Palestine Democrats made good on their threat and didn't come out for Harris. They voted down ballot for their House Rep and Senator but not for Harris.

Disappointed, sick to my stomach, but sadly not totally surprised by the outcome. It is going to be a rough 4 years here in the U.S. I wonder if DraftKings has an over/under on us even having another election. with Mein Drumpf back.
I will just have to get on getting on.

Silver lining: The second term will be his last, which means after that, he'll NEVER run for president again!
Trump is still low in the intelligence department. No matter what he may do, our intelligence and will to live are always one step ahead of his! And, of course, we're better people than him! On top of that, he and his posse are getting backlash and self-destruction, which could probably ruin everything for them when we least expect it! There's always light within the darkness and nothing's gonna change that. You might be surprised. We overcame the monkey's first 4 years and we'll do it again in the final ones. And... if his age does ultimately catch up to him at ANY point in those year, even BEFORE the end of 'em... them that ape will die. And he'll be one less threat to us to worry about. And whether it goes like that or after all of the final 4 years run their course... he'll NEVER run for president EVER AGAIN! (sniffs) Ooooh, I would LOVE to see that pompous ape fall one way or another! I mean, regardless of status, he will NEVER be the boss of US, NOT EVEN ME!

What is the correlation between a Trump presidency and good DiD scenes exactly?

I think that trump wil pass a law that enables him to serve more terms.JJAPrice26 wrote: November 15th, 2024, 8:56 am Silver lining: The second term will be his last, which means after that, he'll NEVER run for president again!

something like that has not happant ever in the histroy of the USA
Re: Donald Trump wins second presidential term
That's certainly something most politicians of Trump's breed try to pull and there's very little reason to assume Trump wouldn't try it. He's never been caught having any affection or respect for the constitution or democracy after all.yetie wrote: November 16th, 2024, 4:53 pmI think that trump wil pass a law that enables him to serve more terms.JJAPrice26 wrote: November 15th, 2024, 8:56 am Silver lining: The second term will be his last, which means after that, he'll NEVER run for president again!

Still its a problem that's likely going to fix itself. Trump is an obese elderly guy who already in the grips of dementia. Its unlikely he's even breathing when its time for the next election.

Congress passes laws, all Trump can do is rubber stamp what goes out of there. And no, he's not getting more terms. I have doubts he'll finish his second one given his health.I think that trump wil pass a law that enables him to serve more terms.
