Some of you might have noticed something weird with Suske en Wiske issues numbering.
For example, issue 75 might look far more "modern" in terms od design than an issue numbered 100+.
Reason being that after issue 100 got printed, Vandersteen decided to change the numbering, and to re-start from the more recent issues, and re-add older issues later on with sometimes substantial re-designs. In one case, it went so far that entire scenes were deleted and replaced by a new story following re-design.
I am offering you the original design of the first editions with the original issue numbering.
Issue 3: will look familiar to you
Issue 7: only the beginning will ring a few bells, the rest did not survive the later redesign
Issues 21 (first two pictures) & 25: I think those were never redesigned and never reprinted
Issue 26: known to some of you in the redesigned version
And last but not least: issue 30. I think this one was also not re-designed and re-printed, I can't remember this weird capture scene

Locked in stocks, then their stocks pushed into the water?! That's wild!

Well, the ship they were on sank, so it was by accident.^^
