Legend of Korra: End Game

Post by Suicide »

And 12 episodes in we get some more DiD and with full treatment. Tenzin and his three children are chained to polls and OTM gagged with black cloths. Jinora and Ikki (his two daughters) in the middle. So GiD alert along with it but we finally get a full treatment DiD. Asami is also bound hand and feet in a prison cell. Lots of good shots of her bonds. Also an EPIC finale.

Epic is right...though there were some technical glitches on my end early on; thankfully, it didn't completely spoil my enjoyment.

Though I will say this confirmed what I had already suspected from the start: that Amon wasn't who he led his followers to believe him as and that he was in fact, a "Bender" himself. And Tarlock's big bro at that, which explains a lot of things...manly how they were able to easily manipulate people into doing what they want them to do.

Question now though is: Where do we go from here? Especially since it looks like we won't have Amo-, er, Noatak to deal with anymore...probably.

Well its clear that this was the ending they wanted to do when this was originally pitched and started as a 12 episode mini-series. I guess Hiroshi can be the new leader of the anti-bending movement. Or we can have the Dai Li rise to some kinda power. Or even some spiritual threats. We never did get to see Ko again from book one of Aang's story.

All sorts of possibilities and I look forward to seeing more of these characters.

Don't forget, since Amo-, er, Noatak was exposed as a Bender (Water and Blood), I imagine the Equalist movement has suffered some serious credibility damage.

One question still bothers me, since we know Noatak's been Hiroshi's secret financial backer, where do you suppose he got the money from anyway?

Papa's criminal enterprises?

This arc reminds me of a the first Sons of the Serpent storyline in The Avengers back in the 60s.

It was nice to finally see some females gagged in this series, though I wish Jinora and Ikki had done some mmphing :( No mmphing also tarnished that classic Lydia DiD scene from the Beetlejuice cartoon.
