Re: Some old newspaper comics
The recent scene with the Amazon prison guard has me wondering. Has anyone come across any other clothing/identity theft scenes in newspaper comics? Where someone is bound and gagged so an impostor can take their place?

In this case, however, the story is inspired by "The prisoner of Zenda"
Jane must rescue her doppelganger, Princess Tania, from the treacherous Duke Viktor
Re: Some old newspaper comics
I've found this picture from an old comic strip called Claire Voyant, i don't know where to find the complete story.

Also in Sky Roads #243 to 250, Twin Earths - d05, and Ella Cinders 1960-11-02 to 23 that I posted earlier.
Maybe I’ll share some scenes in the GiD section too when I have the time.
I believe this is the whole sequence: https://i.imgur.com/uRb9bLs.jpg

Do you have the one where the damsel is kidnapped?
Where do you get all these great DiD scenes from old cómics?

Thank you so much. If you know of any scenes where men are tied up so they can be impersonated, I'd be much obliged.
Re: Some old newspaper comics
I think that's all there is to that scene.
Most of the black-and-white scans I found on newspapers.com. You have to pay to access most of their archives, but it's worth it if you like to read old comics or if you are interested in history, and you can get a short free trial. It is unfortunately mostly just north american papers, but they have the best selection for comics anyway.

Speaking of incomplete scenes found on the net here is Barney Baxter Sunday from 1939 oct 8

These are two Sundays of Johnny Comet, August 10 and 17, 1952, he was also doing the dailies, I don't know if this story was only in the Sundays or continued in the dailies
