In this episode, the princess gets kidnapped (the kidnap scene is unspectacular, she just get carried over the kidnapper's shoulder).
The little box contains the ransom, which the knight tries to get rid of so that the princess doesn't get freed.
The strip ends with the knight being forced to dive into the lake to get the money (he put stones in the box in order to get sure that the dog does not fetch it again), as the kidnapper, believing that the king does not want to pay and hates his daughter, sends a new message saying that he will accept to be paid to keep the "monster" with him rather than freeing her, which would uncover the knight's scheme. So no other pic of the princess being freed or something like that.
