In the previous issue Barbara get Ko by the villain.
I have yet to find issue 6 but i did find a preview of issue 6, and in it Barbara is shown tied up and gagged.

All though she gets her gag loose very quickly. There's also a part further down where a group of people get tied up.

I don't think she was gagged at all, it's just the art style.
