New Yorker magazine has plenty of one panel comic strips, many of them drawn by illustrators who (back in the day) used to also publish work in MAD magazine or even Playboy. I found one from Tom Toro circa 2016 which I found kind of cute. What happens when a housewife has been hogtied by a burglar, but has a suggestion as to what to steal?
