South Africa (both country and region) has a new mutant variant, scientists are warning this one is easier to have reinfection if someone had Covid previously, meaning antibodies are not enough with this one. Hong Kong, Israel, and Belgium have confirmed cases too. Whether vaccines are effective against it or not is currently undetermined. The article says it's more more transmissible, but I'm not certain if they're comparing it to the first generation or to Delta. The stock market plunged hard this morning for those that invest (like me). Start buying face shields, it's going to be a very shitty winter.
