Mysterious Cities of Gold Sequel

For over a decade or two it's been rumored on, and off, and on, and off again.
And now, for the time being, it's on.



French television channel TF1 posted images from its upcoming French-animated sequel to Studio Pierrot's Mysterious Cities of Gold anime. The original story followed a Spanish boy, an Incan girl, and a boy from the Galapagos Islands as they searched for the fabled Cities of Gold in South America.

France's Blue Spirit Animation is planning three new 26-episode series with Movie-Plus. No Japanese staff members have been announced.
