Birds of Prey Movie

Post by Suicide »

The new Birds of Prey trailer has two ladies (and a dude) tied upside down and tape gagged (0:40). Probably doesn't end well for them.

This movie also looks like ass. :P

It could look better if it were animated.

I think the only good thing about this is gonna be Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn

Fourthing, I didn't like Suicide Squad, the new Joker movie had me on fence until I decided it probably wasn't worth a theater trip, and this one I'm straight up skipping. At least we still have Wonder Woman 1984 to look forward to.

Details of the DiD scenes are out now that the movie is out, haven't seen it myself yet though.
The scene from the trailer happens at the start of the film, Asian father, mother and daughter bound and gagged, apparently a rather violent end for them.
Harley gets tied to a chair with rope, no gag, also happens early on in the film.
Cassandra gets tapped to a toilet and gagged by Harley but the tie up and gag are off screen sadly.

Joker was actually REALLY good. Far better than I thought it'd be. It's not a perfect film, but it is a GREAT step in the right direction... about forgetting Jared Leto's god-awful Joker performance. :P

Oh, and for DC movies. That too.

^I'm sure it's fine and all, but nothing about it is appealing. It's just looks like "hey lets imitate Scorsese/Coppola but paint Batman elements on it" coupled by either the director or Phoenix's comments about "adult movies/sneaking one in" (I don't remember the exact quote, I do remember it was smug) and every right wing film reviewer going "it got the success without the Chyna!" and I just got put off with it. It's a similar reason I never bothered with the last Alien and Terminator movies, so much smugness behind the scenes and being so try-hard on being different that I just ended up ignoring them. The fact Joker got 11 Oscar nominations while Endgame got outright snubbed finally convinced me to not bother with the Oscars this year or possibly ever again.

Maybe I'll see it eventually but for the time being I'd rather not.

Endgame didn't get any Oscars primarily because it wasn't a very good movie. :rolls:

The Cassandra scene was cute, lots of mmphing. Despite the fact that she was taped to a toilet, they obviously didn't do anything crude.

It'd be nice to see a gag for Canary in a potential sequel. Doubt this film will get one since it's flopping at the box office, but here's to hoping!

Blame Dolittle, Jumanji, and Frozen 2 for sucking up all the money.

It made it's entire budget back in one weekend. It was a very cheap film (only 80 million). So who knows.
