For those who know the character of Peggy Brant from the Mask animated series didn't know that in the original good version of the movie...she was killed off...
When I read the movie adaption in The Adventures of the Mask Omnibus, the villain Dorian with the Mask on him threw Peggy into a printing press killing her in a cartoon fashion with her face in a newspaper.
The reason we don't see Peggy in the rest of the film was that New Line cut out her death due to it would shock kids who watched the film, and why she death was shown in the comic adaptation since the movie was PG-13.
This is why she was in the cartoon version without mentioning her "Death."
Thoughts?

Re: Weird Cartoon Damsel fact
I think I feel like Bugs and Porky when they mistakenly hide in a closet with a prop skeleton (Hot Cross Bunny & Pest Prize). I also recall a commercial for Kenner’s “The Mask” collection. The action figures were based on the movie, but the stock footage was from the ANIMATED series.
So sometimes I feel glad that death scene was cut off

They couldn't show the actors faces in the footage due to getting royalties for the commercial. If they did The Mask as a reboot of the original comic, then it would be extremely dark.
