CATWOMAN (2018) #5

Brief scene in this week's issue of CATWOMAN, albeit one which may be for completists. Selina is TKO'd and tied up, although there aren't many good shots of the bonds. But it's Catwoman, so here you go. Warning, there is a bit of gore with a dude in the first chunk of the comic.

Seriously, it's got to be the 800th time she has escaped using the claws in her gloves that everyone knows she has. It's like not removing Batman's belt in a trap and then being shocked when he uses a gadget from there to escape. C'mon, crooks, read a newspaper. Even Selina acts like it's routine.)

So, yeah, not the best, but still some fresh Catwoman DID for those interested.

I've never been a gag snob but I realize not having a gag is a deal breaker for a lotta people which is a shame because a lotta otherwise great scenes get dismissed because of it. Love the detail on the ropework and we even get some 'tie-up' jokes from the baddie which is always a huge plus in my book!

I can be a gag snob, but I can appreciate a scene without it. Especially as certain tropes are less common than they used to be due to "progress," I am usually grateful for what we get, especially with mainstream characters.

I am a gag snob. I'm sorry if I see a tie up scene in comics, movies, TV etc. I tend to have little interest in the scene. It's a shame really this scene really could needed it.
