Every now and then one of us comes across a scene from a "classic" comic. This is a DID scene from the first volume of X-FACTOR, which began in 1986. It was an attempt to reunite the founding X-Men with a new premise. While this seems shocking nowadays, at the time, Beast, Iceman, and Angel had been better known as Avengers (in the case of Beast) or Defenders (all three of them) for some time. This did cause problems for Cyclops since they insisted on rekindling his romance with Jean Grey (who was resurrected from the Dark Phoenix Saga) despite the fact that he'd already married Maddie Pryor and had a son with her. Anyway, this scene takes place after Angel had already become Archangel and was battling darker urges. His latest "sort of" girlfriend was NYPD officer Charlotte Jones, and a clan of vampire wanna-be's called the Ravens kidnap her in an attempt to help convert him.
Also marvel that the price of comics have risen almost 300% since 1990, while the page count has gone down.
There is some GID stuff with Archangel himself manacled upside down to an ankh (!) but I am focusing on Charlotte. It isn't the best scene, but considering DID with women of color can sometimes be few and far between, it's worth noting. Bonus points for her being in a nightgown and little else. She was kidnapped from her bedroom via teleporting pink gas.

This page has 4 panels of her bound, 2 which show detail. In the last, Charlotte positions her hands over her rear end to the front and comments on how it is an "undignified" position, hinting that she may or may not have any undies on.)

For the record, Charlotte Jones was an interesting supporting character for the X-Men, but she hasn't appeared in a comic since 2006.
