A while back I mentioned that writer Kelly Thompson seems to always include some DID scene in something she writes eventually. Sometimes it's GID or CID but more often that not if she writes anything long enough there will be some damsel in distress action somewhere. Happened on JEM, happened in MR. & MRS. X, happened in HAWKEYE, happened in A-FORCE, even happened in a STAR WARS annual, etc. The solicits for the third issue of WEST COAST AVENGERS literally have the lead heroine strapped down on a cover. The scenes may not always be classics, but they're there. And with a franchise fairly well known for peril scenes, it was inevitable that NANCY DREW got one. Or rather, that her pal Bess gets one. Points for those who like "full figured" damsels.

It involves the gang infiltrating a club to get evidence to prove a murder. Bess does some snooping on what may be the boss man. It's a short but great scene, with the potential for more next issue.

Fantastic scene! Looks even better than the 2017 series My pick for Bess in a live-action movie would've been a young Catherine Beaumont!
