Wonder Woman writer and artist now homeless

Post by laura silverman »

Bill Loebs, who among other things co-created The Maxx, created the Artemis character for WW and scripted the classic WW #82 & #83 issues where she's captured by Ares, is now homeless and working as a janitor in Detroit. Truly a sad situation. Oh, update, he's been able to get a housing voucher from city services so hopefully he'll have a home again pretty soon..

Not so much piracy in this case as the ridiculous cost of heath care in this country. Every other 1st-world country has universal health care for all its citizens except for the United States. No one should have to go bankrupt because of medical bills but it happens all the time in the U.S. And nothing changes because our lawmakers are bought and paid for by various lobbies and this bribery is accepted as normal practice.

Oh my, I guess I am lucky to be able to afford health care.
