Warner Bros. has released the first image from its upcoming CW series "Arrow," based on the DC Comics character, Green Arrow. Stephen Amell plays Oliver Queen, a former-billionaire playboy embarking on a career of vigilantism after spending time stranded on a desert island for five years. The re-imagined character is being brought to the small screen by "Green Lantern" screenwriters Greg Berlanti and Marc Guggenheim and "Fringe" co-executive producer Andrew Kreisberg. David Nutter, who helmed the pilots of "Smallville" and "Supernatural," will direct, and the hero's costume is designed by three-time Oscar winner Colleen Atwood.
I'll admit, the costume does look kinda cool. It seems their putting some extra care into this one but who knows. I'll defintely check this out of curiosity.

Unfornuately, it sounds like Laurel (apparently Dinah's choosing to go by her middle name in this show, why I don't know) won't even be Black Canary, at least not at first. But look at it this way, this'll be better then the quagmire Michael Bay's doing with TMNT... right?
No. No it's really not better at all.
It's actually much worse for me because I put BC on a much higher pedestal than the TMNT, since she's one of my favorite fictional characters ever. But by now this is CW's par for the course with her characterizations so I'll just be avoiding this show. I don't care for Green Arrow anyway.
I wouldn't over react to anything till we see it, also about Dinah, as long as the character is intact I don't care if she starts off wearing a costume, if she goes costumed adventurer route later on in the series I can wait to find out.
