Deviant Art Slowing down PC?

Hi there,

I recently bought a new PC but have noticed that it's experiencing certain similar problems to my old one. When I go on Deviant Art and certain other websites esp "wikia" and comic reading websites, it sounds like it's making my PC do a lot of work. This is especially the case if I use Internet Explorer for these websites. Less so with Firefox but the PC is still making quite a lot of noise even with that. What might be the cause of this? This is quite a powerful model and it's strange that DA has such an effect on it.

Oh dear, I hope Deviantart didn't get hacked. I think you might have a virus.

I don't think it's DA. Maybe it's just the computer.

This isn't just recent it's been going on for a while. I don't think it's got anything to do with hacking. Like I said I had the same issue with my last PC.
