Rina (left) and Kaori (right), two childhood friends and Tokyo policewomen, find themselves taken captive while investigating an abandoned warehouse.

Tried a little something with dark-colored layers, and transparency.
Here's a different version, without the dark transparent layer.

I do, and don't get me wrong, I love Mainframe, but it surprises me a little that you didn't choose to go with her fellow female officer Mirage. Given your love of "evil twin of girl B&G's the original", plus the fact that Mirage's whole shtick is being a mistress of disguise, the picture practically draws itself.

So, I though that it was the turn for some Latin ladies to have their chance. And here they are! From both, left and right, detectives Ana Ramírez, from Batman: Gotham Knight, and Elisa Maza, from Gargoyles. And in the middle of them, the most famous evasive burglar of all times, Carmen Sandiego!
