I'm old enough to remember DC's period from 1967-1972, when Carmine Infantino was running things. They would throw a bunch of experimental titles onto the market and then cancel them after a few issues if there wasn't an instant hit.
This has that same sort of feel to it. As I recall, Batman was pretty popular then, too.

One of the titles they're cancelling is Black Hawks. This makes me sad. Probably the title with the most original feel to it apart from all the other grim reboots. It reminded me of reading old Larry Hama GI Joe issues...
