The Three Stooges movie

Hey guys Hollywood is reviviing my favorite classic characters the Three Stooges as a movie this spring. Man I heard rumors about it and now I see it's coming true. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mzc6IJXkfgg

I love these guys and their slapstick antics. I know the movie won't be the same as the classic black and white stooges but man I can't wait to see this film. Plus and as a topic for this pecular board is not only were the stooges has great comedic slapstick styles of their own and funny storylines, which they rewrite the same plot in some of their shorts, is also they had some nice damsels in distress moments too in some of their shorts.

Yes, some of the DiDs were done by Christine i don't know her last name, but she was in almost all the Stooges shorts in the day. I recommend the Telefilm with Michel Chiklis as Curly.

What's the point? I realize the Three Stooges are classic American comedy (to put it very mildly) but, well, why make such a movie? Okay, I know why, to make money by taking advantage of the name recognition "Three Stooges" carries. But the Three Stooges were four (three at a time) particular comedians, not just characters. If someone wants to make money off the Stooges, why not just re-release a bunch of movies? That would cost pennies. The rights must be public domain now.
