What was your biggest "You know for kids!" moment
We've all watched kids shows and movies geared towards kids but there is sometimes always a moment of darkness that makes us go "You know for kids!".
Here's my biggest one: http://www.zippcast.com/video/18fcbb8873ac9d8705d" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

You'll see it within the first three minutes, ever seen a moth preparing helicoprion fillets? According to official sources that poor alien fish is also an orphan of a monster that died in the previous series. This isn't mentioning shit like dream raping, the vagina dentata flower, numerous accounts of maiming, cannibalism, having a fungus controlling a corpse from its ass, being melted alive, strangulation, petrification, impalement, and probably some other horrid things I am not remembering off the top of my head.

One that pops in my mind is the Hoshi no Kaabi episode Tooned Out, sometimes, I think there's a reason for 4kids to censor certain things.
Actually, another one was in Shaman King when Zeke ripped Yoh's heart out & consumed his soul. That freaked me out as a child, although to be fair, Shaman King wasn't originally mean't for a younger audience.
on a side note, Tai Chi Chasers, to me at least, is basically the shounen equivalent of Madoka Magica.

The first time I saw this scene:
Far before I went into internet and I knew the furry community.

The biggest example from my childhood would be Sonic adventure two. Its very much a cartoon at times. Eggman is a stereotype ''I'l get you next time!'' kind of villain, Shadow the rival and the dialogue is all very cheesy.
And THEN! You reach the third act where you are suddenly confronted by a broken man who was betrayed by the world and now finds all life meaningless, giving a chillingly well acted speech about how he is going to share his loss and despair with the entire world as he enacts his plan to destroy Earth. After saying that he's even shot by a firing squad though as a kid I didn't really get that bit of info. It was especially the mad doctor's voice that made it so chilling.
There's also Naruto. In a certain episode the main character gets his actual heart removed by some kind of magic which the main villain ends up holding in his palm and squishing it to torture Naruto.

He was shot by a firing squad ?! I thought those blokes who said "Is that all you have to say," & then "Ready!" were with Gerald Robotnik!Inigo wrote:The biggest example from my childhood would be Sonic adventure two.
