Look at who else is jumping on the bandwagon:

Nintendo, long known as hesitant to allow their games on mobile platforms, recently announced that it was partnering with one of Japan’s leading mobile game companies to create games for smartphones and tablets.

The article said that Nintendo hasn't given up on console gaming. I might just be saying this because I defend video game companies I like, but I think this is a good move for Nintendo. When they stop limiting themselves from PC and iOS, they've got a bigger market. Not all iOS games are bad, just look at Marvel avengers alliance. I wouldn't mind a Nintendo game that constantly updates.
