Anonymous goes after Fort Lauderdale

Post by Aquarionoid »

For those who may or may not have heard, the city of Fort Lauderdale, Florida not too long ago tried to deal with their homeless population by assigning specific areas in the city where to feed them. The problem? They are enforcing these policies by arresting people with felony charges. Felony charges for feeding homeless people, let that sink in. This was brought to attention when a 90 year old man was helping two ministers and were soon arrested, facing 2 months in jail and a $500 fine. For feeding the homeless. I read this story a month back and found it disgusting. Yesterday the group Anonymous did something about it, specifically hack into government websites for the city in protest of these asinine policies. Didn't find out about this until about 10 minutes ago because college exams and etcetera.

I live close to this area and somehow this never makes the local news and given how almost every story deals with some crime that is saying a lot.
